Local Government Planning Forums
Local government planning forums are hosted by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure, for local government general managers, planning directors and senior planners employed by NSW councils.
The purpose of these forums is to provide up-to-date information on planning activities, issues and directions and to gather input for planning policy decision-making, at an early stage.
These forums usually comprise presentations and workshops.
Statewide forums
A statewide forum is held annually in Sydney. The most recent was on 16 November 2011.
Regional forums
Forums are also held in regional areas in New South Wales. Forums for 2012 will be scheduled shortly and invitations will be sent to all councils.
