We are planning for a new town of around 15,000 homes at Wilton. The Interim Land Use and Infrastructure Implementation Plan will guide the growth of this new community over the next 20 to 30 years. New and upgraded infrastructure will support the growing community, and residents will have access to jobs, schools, shops and other essential services. The Plan also identifies sensitive environmental areas that will be protected as the community grows.
The plan for Wilton South East provides more detail for the development of part of the Wilton South East Precinct.
Community members were invited to three drop-in sessions to find out more about the plans for Wilton and to ask questions. Sessions were held at Wilton Public School and at the Wollondilly Shire Hall in Picton, with around 300 people attending across the three sessions.
We thank those who attended the sessions and who have made a submission on the plans for Wilton. We will update you soon about the main issues raised and how we are dealing with these to refine the plans.
