Register of major projects
The Department of Planning assesses major projects that require the approval of the Minister for Planning. The assessment process for the following project is in accordance with the Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
Project: Intermodal Logistics Centre, Enfield (MP 05_0147)Proponent: Sydney Ports Corporation
Description: Demolition, relocation or removal of former railway buildings and structures. Construction and operation of an intermodal logistics centre (including an intermodal terminal, railway lines, rail siding and associated works) with capacity to accept a maximum throughput of 300,000 TEU (one TEU is equivalent to one twenty-foot container) per annum
