Register of major projects

The Department of Planning assesses major projects that require the approval of the Minister for Planning. The assessment process for the following project is in accordance with the Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Project: Remediation and Transitional Works - Former CUB Site, Broadway (MP 07_0163)

Proponent: Frasers Greenway Development Pty Ltd
Description: Works involving the remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater on site; demolition of existing basements and other existing structures and removal of piles not previously demolished or removed; permanent stabilization and protection of heritage buildings, retained structures and in-ground services infrastructure to Balfour and Irving streets; and archaeological investigation
Location: 26 Broadway, Chippendale (former Carlton and United Breweries site) and adjacent surrounding properties fronting onto Broadway, Kensington Street, Wellington Street, O'Connor Street and Abercrombie Street
