Register of major projects
The Department of Planning assesses major projects that require the approval of the Minister for Planning. The assessment process for the following project is in accordance with the Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
Proposal title: Victoria Road Upgrade (07_0177)
Proponent: NSW Roads and Traffic AuthorityDescription: The upgrade of Victoria Road between Westbourne Street, Drummoyne and The Crescent, Rozelle, extending approximately 3.5 kilometres. The project includes:
- the implementation of bus lanes
- the construction of an additional bridge adjacent to the Iron Cove Bridge;
- provision of a tidal flow traffic scheme within Drummoyne; and
- altered traffic arrangements and roadway adjustments through Rozelle.
Capital Investment Value: $150 million
Location: Between Westbourne Street, Drummoyne and The Crescent, Rozelle.
