- Proposal title: Modification – Extension of Shipping Channels within the Port of Newcastle (Stage 2) (DA no. 134-3-2003-i MOD 4)
- Description: BHP Billiton proposes to modify the existing development consent for the extension of shipping channels within the Port of Newcastle, including dredging, excavation, treatment and disposal of sediments from the south arm of the Hunter River. The proposed modification will allow for the progression to Stage 2 of the development consent and involves:
- full-scale remediation of contaminated sediments dredged from the Hunter River on land that was previously occupied by the BHP Newcastle Steelworks
- construction of an emplacement facility for the treated sediments on a former landfill site on Kooragang Island to the north west of the Tourle Street Bridge (known as the Kooragang Island Waste Emplacement Facility (KIWEF)
- transport and placement of treated sediment from Mayfield to KIWEF (or other facility lawfully able to accept it)
- operations to be undertaken 24 hours per day, 7 days per week

- Proposal title: Modification - Crookwell II Wind Farm (MOD 1 to DA no. 176-8-2004)
- Description: The proponent seeks to modify the development consent for the Crookwell II wind farm to:
- increase the height of the turbines from 107 metres to 128 metres
- relocate twenty of the forty six turbines by up to approximately 100 metres
- relocate internal access tracks and the site access road off Woodhouselee Road
- install hazard night lighting on approximately twenty three turbines
- Location: Approximately 14 km southeast of Crookwell and 30 km northwest of Goulburn on the Crookwell Road
