Qualified Designers for SEPP 65 Development
Under the SEPP 65 scheme, councils and other consent authorities require that a registered architect verify the design, construction certification and occupation certification of residential flat development.
Architects have to be registered as an assurance to the public that architectural services will be delivered by persons with the appropriate qualifications, skills and professional integrity.
A 'registered architect' is one who is registered under the Architects Act. All registered architects are listed on the NSW Architects Registration Board web-site at www.boarch.nsw.gov.au, or can be found by contacting the Board by phone on 02 9241 4033.
The NSW Architects Registration Board website also provides details of the prescribed Registration Requirements including minimum qualifications, experience and Architectural Practice Examination administered by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA).
