Our structure
The Department of Planning was established in August 2005, following the de-amalgamation of the former Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources. In March 2006, the NSW Heritage Office was incorporated into the department.
The Department has six divisions:
- Corporate Governance
- Major Projects Assessments
- Metropolitan Planning
- Rural and Regional Planning
- Special Projects
- Strategic Sites and Urban Renewals
