Western Sydney Parklands Trust
The NSW Government has established a Western Sydney Parklands Trust.
The trust board has the following non-executive members:
- Brendan Crotty (chair), former chief executive officer of Australand, with business and property management expertise;
- Michelle Rowland, lawyer and deputy mayor of Blacktown City Council, with strong local community knowledge and legal expertise;
- Bob Waldron, former Department of Planning land management branch director, who helped create the management vision for the parklands and has extensive land management skills;
- Ro Coroneos, corporate sustainability expert who was formerly a senior executive at the NSW Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability; and
- Jim Mitchell, former NSW Deputy Auditor-General, with financial and probity expertise.
The Board also includes the Directors General of the Departments of Planning and Environment and Climate Change and a yet-to-be-appointed trust executive director.
The trust board members have been appointed for a three-year term from January 1.
