New South Wales is growing. When carefully managed, growth brings opportunities to improve people's lives into the future by providing housing to meet a diverse range of needs, aligning delivery of infrastructure and services to support new homes, delivering quality design outcomes, stimulating jobs, innovation and economic prosperity, as well as protecting, restoring and improving our state's public spaces and natural environment.
To effectively achieve the positive outcomes offered by good growth, we need a unified direction and commitment to ongoing collaboration across all levels of government, along with communities, industry and other key stakeholders.
On Monday 4 November 2019, the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment in partnership with the Good Growth Alliance hosted a Good Growth Summit, bringing together 106 representatives from these key groups to co-create a suite of concrete and meaningful steps to support good growth in Sydney.

Ongoing collaboration will continue through multi sectoral roundtables and other initiatives. In late 2020, there will be discussions about what progress has been made by all towards good growth.
