Codes of Ethics and Conduct

The Code of Ethics and Conduct clarifies the standards of behaviour that are expected of the Department of Planning, Industry, and Environment's staff in the performance of their duties. It gives guidance in areas where staff need to make personal and ethical decisions.

(The Code is open access information under section 18(g) of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and clause 5(2) of the Government Information (Public Access) Regulation 2009.)

Independent Integrity Adviser

An Independent Integrity Adviser (IIA) was announced in December 2018.

The IIA was asked to conduct a review and provide recommendations to improve departmental processes for internal reporting and responses, and provide advice on how the Independent Integrity Adviser function might provide an ongoing service improvement for DPE staff.

The review is now complete (PDF, 463KB). The Department has accepted all recommendations of the review.
