Sydney Metro’s Submissions and Preferred Infrastructure Report (SPIR) provides a description of changes made to the proposal exhibited in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Sydenham to Bankstown Upgrade in 2017.

 

Key changes include:

  • existing station buildings and entrances to be retained and refurbished;
  • repurposing of unused station buildings where possible;
  • platform re-levelling and accessibility upgrades (such as lifts) where required;
  • no change to existing track, except in the immediate vicinity of Bankstown and a proposed crossover at Campsie; and
  • no property acquisitions and fewer lease acquisitions.
