Tallawong Metro Station (formerly known as ‘Cudgegong Road Station’) is located 48 kilometres north-west of Sydney CBD, parallel to Schofields Road between Cudgegong Road and Tallawong Road. It is the first station on the new Sydney Metro North West rail line and will service The Ponds, Rouse Hill and surrounding areas.
Tallawong Station, including commuter car park, station plaza and forecourts was approved in 2012, as part of the staged Critical State Significant Infrastructure approval for the Sydney Metro North West Rail Link.
Landcom (on behalf of Sydney Metro) has submitted a concept proposal for Tallawong Station Precinct South.
The concept proposal seeks approval for a mixed-use precinct located within the suburb of Rouse Hill, south of the approved Tallawong Station, which includes:
The Precinct is part of the North West Priority Growth Area.
The concept proposal for Tallawong Station Precinct South has been approved subject to conditions based on consultation with the local community, council and other agencies.
The Department carefully considered the community’s submissions, worked with council and took into account their feedback during the assessment process.
