Tallawong Metro Station (formerly known as ‘Cudgegong Road Station’) is located 48 kilometres north-west of Sydney CBD, parallel to Schofields Road and between Cudgegong Road and Tallawong Road. It is the first station on the new Sydney Metro North West rail line and will service The Ponds, Rouse Hill and surrounding areas.

Tallawong Station, including commuter car park, station plaza and forecourts was approved in 2012, as part of the staged Critical State Significant Infrastructure approval for the Sydney Metro North West Rail Link.

The Precinct is also part of the North West Priority Growth Area, which is intended to provide substantial land release areas for homes and jobs in Sydney’s northwest.
