Victoria Cross Metro station will be located in North Sydney beneath Miller Street to the north of the Pacific Highway.

The ‘Integrated Station Development’ for Victoria Cross will be made up of the station and a proposed ‘Over Station Development' project.

Sydney Metro received approval for their State Significant Infrastructure application for Victoria Cross Station in January 2017, including the rail infrastructure, station concourse, entrances and associated works.

Sydney Metro submitted a State Significant Development application for the Concept Proposal of the Over Station Development.

The concept proposal sought consent for a building envelope for a commercial development above the station’s southern entrance at the intersection of Miller and Berry Streets.

Within the Concept Proposal, Sydney Metro are seeking approval for:

  • a building envelope including street-wall and setbacks
  • a maximum building height of 168 metres providing approximately 42 storeys for the high-rise portion and 13 storeys (55 metres) for the lower-rise eastern portion
  • a maximum gross floor area of 60,000m2
  • basement car parking for a maximum of 150 spaces.

Concept State Significant Development application approved

The Sydney Metro Victoria Cross Over Station Development has been approved subject to conditions based on extensive consultation with the local community, council and other agencies.

The Department carefully considered the community’s submissions, worked with council and took on board their feedback during assessment.

A full list of the conditions of consent is available on our Major Projects website:
