Compliance officers from the Department of Planning and Environment have increased inspections at Sydney’s major infrastructure sites to make sure conditions of approval are being followed.

During March compliance officers visited NorthConnex, CBD South East Light Rail and the WestConnex M4 Western Motorway to conduct monitoring.

A Department spokesperson said the infrastructure projects visits are an important part of the compliance team’s inspection activity across the state.

“There were 65 major project inspections across the state during March, eight were in metropolitan Sydney and three of those included major transport infrastructure sites,” a spokesperson said.

“We encourage the community to contact our compliance officers with concerns about major projects in their neighbourhood. The compliance team can investigate complaints.”

List of major projects sites visited by the compliance team in March:

  • NorthConnex
  • Camden Gas Project
  • WestConnex M4 Western Motorway
  • Sydney CBD South East Light Rail Project (Two inspections)
  • Redox Chemicals, Minto
  • Residential Development, 330 Church St, Parramatta
  • Residential Development (Site 67 & 68), Sydney Olympic Park (Three inspections).
