We held an information session for this precinct on 24 June 2017 at Strathfield Library. Thank you to the 150 people who attended this session and provided us with early feedback.

At this session and between 16 June and 13 August, PlaceScore collected information for us on what people cared about in their community and what they consider are positive attributes of their community.

The top three responses from 41 participants about what they care about in Burwood, Strathfield and Homebush were:

  • access and safety
  • local businesses that provided for daily needs
  • general condition of public open space.

The top three responses from 75 participants about the positive attributes of the community were:

  • connectivity
  • access to amenities
  • sense of personal safety.

This information will be used to inform our draft plan.

We will continue to work closely with the community, councils and other stakeholders as our planning work progresses. This includes surveys, project updates, social media, public events, face to face meetings and formal submissions.
