The right infrastructure delivered at the right time helps to create liveable, well connected communities.

We are preparing a Special Infrastructure Contribution (SIC) framework for funding the delivery of state and regional infrastructure.

We are working closely with State government agencies, the City of Parramatta City, the Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) and UrbanGrowth NSW to identify the infrastructure requirements for Greater Parramatta.

Key regional infrastructure requiring investment include:

  • Parramatta Light Rail (Stage 1);
  • pedestrian and cycle links throughout the precinct;
  • numerous road and intersection upgrades;
  • new and upgraded primary and secondary schools;
  • a network of public open space areas; and
  • the revitalisation of the Parramatta River foreshore.

The SIC framework for the Greater Parramatta Growth Area, including a schedule of infrastructure items and costs, will be released for community consultation later in 2017.
