The draft revised Master Plan 2030 was placed on public exhibition from 10 October – 15 November 2016 and 60 submissions were received.

We received input from the community and stakeholders, and this feedback has played an important role in the finalisation of the Master Plan and amendments to the State Environmental Planning Policy (State Significant Precincts) 2005. We would like to thank everyone who attended the community drop-in sessions, joined a walking tour and made a submission.

In general, there was broad support for the proposed changes in the Master Plan (2018 Review), including continued management of Sydney Olympic Park for major events and recreation, and for creating a vibrant town centre.

Key issues raised in the submissions related to:

  • traffic and transport;
  • affordable housing;
  • open space and community facilities;
  • schools;
  • building design elements and heights.

For more information please refer to SOPA’s Response to Submissions Report. Specifically Appendix 1 – A3 Table Response to Submissions includes detailed individual responses to each submission.
