Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC), as part of NSW Department of Family and Community Services, have been consulting with the community as the master plan options for Waterloo Estate are developed. Three masterplan options have now been published by LAHC and the community are being encouraged to have their say on these options.
You can find out about opportunities to have your say on the Communities Plus website.
LAHC have also published a Visioning Report (May, 2018) which outlines the community’s feedback to date. You can read this Visioning Report on their website, downloadable as a PDF.
When the State Significant Precinct Study is completed, including the masterplan, it will be placed on public exhibition by the Department of Planning and Environment for a minimum of 30 days. Submissions will be invited from the public, other government departments, local government, and any other interested individuals or groups.
LAHC must continue to consult with the community and provide information about the proposed planning framework during the exhibition period. However, submissions are made directly to the Department of Planning and Environment. The Department will consider all submissions received and will then assess the proposed planning framework with assistance from the City of Sydney. A recommendation will be made to the Minister for Planning, who will make a final determination.
