Funding $771 million of state infrastructure to bring the Wilton 2040 plan to life.

Wilton in 2040 will be an enviable place to live, made up of six well-connected precincts focused around Wilton Town Centre. To ensure key infrastructure is funded and delivered in time to support the growing community, the Department is proposing a Special Infrastructure Contribution to be paid by developers.


The proposed Special Infrastructure Contribution for Wilton will provide $771 million of funding from developers for infrastructure delivery over the next 20-30 years, including:

  • Roads, intersections, bridges and cycleway improvements- $655 million
  • Biodiversity conservation and regional open space- $65 million
  • Education- $31.25 million
  • Bus infrastructure- $5 million
  • Health facilities- $750,000
  • Emergency services- $625,000
  • Planning and delivery- $14 million
