Slower population growth

NSW has continued to grow, but growth is now the slowest it has been in more than 100 years.

 

The average annual growth rate from June 2016 to June 2020 was 91,000 or 1.2%. From June 2020 to June 2021, NSW grew by only 22,240 people or 0.27%.
