Planning for the Ingleside Precinct has been underway since mid-2013.
A draft Land Use and Infrastructure Plan was exhibited from December 2016 until 28 February 2017. We listened to the concerns raised about bushfire safety for Ingleside, and after preparing a Bushfire Risk Assessment and working with the Northern Beaches Council and Rural Fire Service NSW, a decision was reached not to proceed with the proposed draft Land Use and Infrastructure Strategy for the area.
We are working closely with Northern Beaches Council, the NSW Rural Fire Service and the community to ensure the features and character that people love about Ingleside will be enhanced, while creating new homes, new opportunities for social connections and services and new supporting infrastructure.
The draft Ingleside Place Strategy was exhibited from 25 May to 23 July 2021.

All feedback and submissions will be carefully considered during finalisation of the place strategy.
We will prepare a submissions report that collates all your feedback and explains the key issues raised during the consultation period.
Should the place strategy be finalised, new planning controls will be introduced in Northern Beaches Council’s Local Environmental Plan to enable development applications to be progressed.
