Reimagined for the community

The NSW Government has released the final concept design to upgrade Anzac Park in West Ryde.

The final design refines the City of Ryde's Anzac Park masterplan and responds to community feedback gathered through the consultation process.

Designed in consultation with the City of Ryde and the community, the well-loved local park will be upgraded to ensure the park is a welcoming green space to connect, play and relax, for generations to come.

The $6 million upgrade will ensure the park remains an important place of remembrance, with the ANZAC memorial at its heart.

Key features of the final design include:

  • upgraded pedestrian paths
  • more seating, shade and gathering spaces
  • a new fitness zone and welcoming park entrance
  • improved BBQ facilities  
  • stormwater management infrastructure upgrades  
  • a new, modern and accessible amenities building in an area of the park that is less prone to flooding than the current amenities building in the park.

Design process

  1. Exhibition

    City of Ryde exhibited the park masterplan in 2021 and 2022 for community feedback.

    We worked with City of Ryde to refine the masterplan using community feedback to shape the final design.

  2. Final concept design release

    The final concept design was revealed, refining the City of Ryde's masterplan and responding to feedback gathered through community consultation.

  3. Construction

    Construction is planned to begin in 2027.
