Frank Hayes Park

Frank Hayes Park is being upgraded into a welcoming green space that celebrates local culture, Country, and connection for the growing community.

The Department is working in partnership with City of Parramatta Council and local communities to upgrade the park, located in Wentworthville near Reg Byrne Community Centre, Darcy Road Public School, and childcare facilities.

The proposed upgrade will provide high-quality open public space to support a vibrant, liveable community for generations to come.

The proposed upgrades to Frank Hayes Park will:

• strengthen community with updated inclusive play and recreation opportunities
• celebrate culture and community through a yarning circle informed by Connecting with Country
• deliver a greener park with expanded tree canopy and native planting.

The Department sought community feedback on the preliminary concept design (PDF, 10.0 MB) in September 2026. This feedback will inform the finalised design.
