The Department has recently released a significant upgrade to our Major Projects website, including a great range of features to help make it easier to stay informed and do business with us.

Calderwood Urban Development Concept Plan (Modification)
In December 2010, a Concept Plan was approved for an urban development at Calderwood.
Amended proposed concept plans for Cockle Bay have been lodged with the Department and include a new retail shops, bars and restaurants, along with a commercial office tower up to 195m in height.Read about the amended plans
Coffs Harbour Bypass
The Australian and NSW governments are funding the Coffs Harbour Bypass which will provide a 14-kilometre bypass of the Coffs Harbour urban area.Read about the bypass

Hunters Hill Remediation
The Hunters Hill remediation project relates to three Government owned properties at 7-11 Nelson Parade, Hunters Hill.

Kings Forest – Modification 4
Project 28 Pty Ltd lodged a request to modify planning approval previously granted for the Kings Forest Stage 1 project. The modification request sought approval for a revised Koala Plan of Management (KPOM).
Snowy 2.0 Exploratory Works
The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Stage 1 Exploratory Works for the Snowy 2.0 project is now on exhibition for public comment.
In 2017 the State Environmental Planning Policy (Educational Establishments and Child Care Facilities) (SEPP) was introduced with provisions that apply to school State Significant Development (SSD) applications.
Shell Cove Boat Harbour Precinct Concept Plan (Modification)
In August 2017, Frasers Property Australia lodged a modification application to the Concept Plan Approval for the Shell Cove Boat Harbour Precinct.
Sydney Football Stadium
Infrastructure NSW, on behalf of the NSW Government, has submitted a State Significant Development application for the redevelopment of the Sydney Football Stadium.
On 13 June 2017, the NSW Government announced $534 million for a new major referral hospital that would be constructed on a greenfield site in the Tweed-Byron region.Read More
