The Wilton Growth Area is positioned at the junction of the Hume Motorway and Picton Road in the Wollondilly Shire Local Government Area. Wilton will become a new town providing homes and jobs in the south west of the Sydney basin, with access to the beaches of Illawarra and National Parks. There are seven precincts within the Wilton Growth Area. Each precinct will create thriving local communities with new homes, jobs, public transport and community facilities.
Wilton Greenfield Housing Code
The Wilton Greenfield Housing Code is a fast-track complying development pathway for Wilton to speed up the delivery of new homes in areas identified as low density residential in the Urban Development Zone (UDZ) in the Wilton Growth Area.

Wilton Growth Area Development Control Plan
The Wilton Growth Area Development Control Plan (DCP) is now final, ensuring any new development is consistent with the Wilton 2040 vision of creating a liveable new place in the natural environment. The DCP gives more detailed planning and design guidelines and controls for residential development in South East Wilton and North Wilton precincts. Wilton Town Centre Precinct rezoned
Wilton Town Centre Precinct has been rezoned. The rezoning will come into force on 30 September 2022 to allow time for a Voluntary Planning Agreement to be finalised with the precinct proponent.
