Changes to the short-term rental accommodation policy in October 2024 requires a unit number to be provided when registering or renewing a registration for a ‘multi-dwelling’ property.

When you created your original property listing, the residential accommodation type selected was ‘multi-dwelling’. This means you are required to input a unit number.

If the incorrect accommodation type was selected, please contact the customer support team via the NSW Planning Portal enquiry form for assistance.

If you would like to stop taking bookings for a property listed on the Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) register, you will need to de-register your property. Note: A new property registration must be completed before the property can be used for short-term rental accommodation again.

To submit a complying development certificate application for a cemetery, please select your common application type and then the ‘Infrastructure’ category.

"When an applicant enters a BASIX reference number within a development application (DA) and complying development certificate (CDC) application, the reference number is validated against the BASIX tool. There are three types of messages:
1. Reference number is valid (the BASIX certificate will be automatically uploaded onto the application) 
2. Reference number requires review (the council / certifier will need to review the BASIX certificate/s to validate them)
3. Reference number is not valid.
