Join us in committing to these principles for quality public space

Signatories to the Charter become part of a growing network of like-minded councils, developers, state agencies and practitioners interested in promoting best practice public spaces and gain access to a Community of Practice, a forum for sharing examples and insights on ways the Charter is being applied in practice around the State.

Each signatory is asked to complete an initial survey, and the update this data each year, assisting the Charter team in understanding the Charter in practice and how this is evolving, and where signatories see it going – and taking them – in the future.

See our NSW Public Spaces Charter frequently asked questions (PDF, 176 KB) for more information on what it means to be a signatory.

Becoming a signatory

We invite all NSW Government agencies, local government, industry and other organisations across NSW involved in planning, designing, managing and activating public spaces to register to the Charter. Join us in committing to these principles for quality public space.
