Part 4 developments
Most development proposals that need approval under Part 4 of the Environmental Planning Assessment Act 1979 are assessed and determined by local councils.

The council are completing a set of recommendations for planning in Burwood, Strathfield and Homebush. These will be made available for community feedback.

An amendment to the State Environmental Planning Policy (State and Regional Development) 2011 is proposed for the development of government-owned land.

The State Environmental Planning Policy (Vegetation in Non-Rural Areas) 2017 (Vegetation SEPP) commenced in New South Wales on 25 August 2017.
