The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is asking for community feedback on a proposal to build a 30-storey Crowne Hotel and a 14-storey commercial office building at Sydney Olympic Park.
Executive Director, Key Sites, Anthea Sargeant, said community input is a vital part of the planning process and encouraged everyone to have their say on the draft proposal.
“This State Significant Development application, by Ecove, seeks approval for the construction of a 30-storey hotel containing 304 rooms and a 14-storey commercial office building with retail at ground floor level,” she said.
“The proposal involves four levels of basement car parking accommodating 522 car parking spaces and 277 bicycle spaces and the construction of an extension of Dawn Fraser Avenue and new service lane as well as landscaping and public domain works.”
The department is inviting the community to have their say on this proposal and following the exhibition, the applicant is required to respond to all community submissions.
“We want to hear the community’s views, to help us make a thorough and rigorous assessment and ensure any potential concerns are considered,” Ms Sargeant said.
The exhibition closes on 18 December 2019.
