A guide for creating healthy built environments in regional NSW
The guide recognises and celebrates the diversity of urban environments, natural landscapes, climates and communities that exist across this vast area.
Through the guide, objectives from the Government Architect NSW’s Better Placed, the integrated design policy for the built environment of NSW, will be applied to the state’s regions. The guide also supports the object of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to ‘promote good design and amenity of the built environment’.
Urban Design for Regional NSW – A guide for creating healthy built environments in regional NSW (PDF, 9.3 MB) has been informed by a survey of councils in regional NSW issued in late 2017.
