Gosford city centre is charging a special infrastructure contribution (SIC) to help pay for new or upgraded infrastructure.
The levy applies to all new development on land zoned for residential or business use where the works are valued at $1 million or more.
The SIC helps to fund key projects including:
- upgrading roads to improve traffic flow and pedestrian connections through the city centre
- improving Kibble Park
- providing health, education and emergency services facilities.
Requirements for certifiers
Certifiers must confirm there are no outstanding SICs or levies before issuing an occupation certificate.
