The NSW State Design Review Panel (SDRP) includes a team of state government design champions and 9 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members with expertise in design and Aboriginal cultural heritage to promote opportunities to Design with Country.
Shahreen Alford
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Shah is a director of sala4D, with over 25 years’ experience as a landscape architect and urban designer. She started sala4D in Orange, NSW, as a recognition that design for regional centres has unique challenges. She is an advocate for values-based design, creating a unique solution for each community.
Craig Allchin
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Craig is a director of Six Degrees Urban and is a registered urban designer with experience working across government and with private sector clients. His work spans human-scale, fine-grained strategies, through to conceptual positioning of masterplans, district-level planning, and whole-of-city design.

Rachid is the founding director of Fuse Architects, dedicated to shaping vibrant, sustainable, and connected cities. His work is grounded in the democratic values of inclusion, diversity, and community, creating places that enrich the human experience.
Matthew Bennett
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Matthew has 30 years’ experience across urban and architectural projects including masterplans, infrastructure, education and housing. His guidance has been sought in preparation of independent assessments, strategies and case studies to guide city-making and policy reform.
Paul Berkemeier

Paul is an experienced architect with expertise in architecture, urbanism and heritage. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney and Harvard University and is actively involved in architectural education and accreditation. He has also served as national president of the Australian Institute of Architects.
Andrew Brophy

Andrew is a landscape architect and horticulturalist with 25 years of experience in public space and infrastructure design. Before this, he spent a decade working as a garden designer, with interests in planting design and the potential of urban ecology.

Nick is director at DKO Architecture and is a Registered Architect with over 20 years' experience across residential, retail, hospitality, and commercial sectors. He is known for design excellence, leadership, and mentorship, and shapes DKO’s culture and project success.
Minnie Cade

Minnie is a principal at Jasmax with over 25 years’ experience delivering public and private projects across education, life sciences, commercial, civic, sporting, and residential sectors. She serves on the City of Melbourne and Victorian Government architect design review panels.
Stuart Campbell

Stuart is the director of CKDS Architecture, with over 20 years of experience delivering significant multi-residential and commercial projects throughout NSW. He is a strong advocate for design excellence and thoughtful urban renewal.
Peter John Cantrill

Peter John is an urban designer at the City of Sydney. He works with others to improve people’s lives, making the best possible public places, and private spaces that people will love. He ensures that spaces are safe, comfortable, open, healthy, welcoming, filled with nature, and respectful of Country.
Elizabeth Carpenter

Elizabeth is managing principal of fjcstudio with over 30 years of experience. She is the current president of the NSW Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects. Her work spans educational, cultural, adaptive reuse, performing arts, and residential projects.
Mary Casey
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Mary is a principal and national discipline lead for Sustainability at Introba. With over 30 years of experience, she has a strong sustainability focus, and is a regular presenter and writer on regenerative practice. She was awarded the Living Building Hero medal by the ILFI in 2014.
Jocelyn Chiew

Jocelyn is founder of Jocelyn Chiew Strategic & Urban Design and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Architects and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. She has dual architecture and landscape experience, working across major projects, boards, competitions, and teaching. Her expertise lies in place curation, design, and stewardship, delivering ambitious visions.
Stephen Collier

Stephen is an architect and urban designer with global experience in housing, urbanism, and infrastructure. He holds a PhD from RMIT and a Master’s from UPC Barcelona. His award-winning practice focuses on sustainable design with strong community outcomes.
Gareth Collins

Gareth is a registered urban designer with over 25 years of experience. He is a Fellow and former NSW President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. As Director of Urban Design at Transport for NSW, he played a pivotal role in shaping transport design across the state and was awarded the Australia Award for Urban Design for the Beyond the Pavement policy.

Helen is an associate director at Bates Smart with 25 years’ experience nationally and internationally. She has a strong focus on mixed-use and multi-residential projects, and is passionate about designing homes and communities that are enduring, inclusive, and well-considered.
Lucy Creagh

Lucy is a Principal at Lucy Creagh Urban Projects and has more than 20 years’ experience in architecture and urban design. She has particular expertise in transport-related projects, and a special interest in the cultural and horticultural dimensions of open space design.

Jason is the managing director of Moir Studio and a Landscape Architect. He has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, place-responsive outcomes that shape vibrant precincts and connected communities.
