The NSW State Design Review Panel (SDRP) includes a team of state government design champions and 9 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members with expertise in design and Aboriginal cultural heritage to promote opportunities to Design with Country.
Elisabeth Peet

Elisabeth is an architect and urban designer with 35 years’ experience on award-winning infrastructure, urban renewal, greenfield, heritage, and public buildings across the public and private sector. Her interest lies in the power of quality urban realm to enhance community and place.
Gabrielle Pelletier
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Gabrielle is associate director at Sam Crawford Architects and is a national leader in sustainable design and architectural advocacy, delivering complex projects across housing, infrastructure and heritage. She received the NSW Emerging Architect Prize in 2025 and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.
Peter Phillips
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Peter is principal of Orwell & Peter Phillips, a practice on Gadigal Country, that has been active in building conservation since the 1950s. He is a conservation architect with a strong interest in conserving the heritage of the past, and creating the heritage of the future.

Bianca is Associate Studio Director for ASPECT Studios. She leads a dedicated team of landscape architects and designers delivering projects that demonstrate exemplary design quality, cultural value, and environmental benefit.

Paul is principal, design director and design board member at WW+P and has been practicing for over 25 years. His experience is in driving teams to produce exceptional places through design excellence on major projects across New York City, Tokyo, London, Berlin, Melbourne and Sydney.

Mark is a director at ARM Architecture, leading major projects and shaping places through strategic and creative leadership across sectors. He has extensive expertise in masterplanning, feasibility, stakeholder engagement, and design delivery.
Samantha Rich
NSW SDRP Panel Member
Samantha is a Wiradyuri woman, a designer and researcher working across architecture, urban design and research. She focuses on the role that architecture plays in supporting reciprocal relationships embedded in Indigenous culture to care for people, communities and Country.
Tamasine Scott

Tam is a landscape architect dedicated to design excellence and ecological urbanism. After delivering globally recognised projects at Grant Associates, she joined e8urban to lead landscape architecture, embedding sustainability in master plans and landmark destinations.
Roderick Simpson

Rod is Director of Simpson + Wilson Architects and was the inaugural Environment Commissioner of the Greater Cities Commission. He was an Associate Professor and Director of the Masters of Urban Design and Urbanism programs at the University of Sydney.

Peter is Principal at Smith & Tzannes and focuses on housing from single dwellings to precinct planning. He has expertise in design and policy, delivering quality housing through a balanced approach.
Shellie Smith

Shellie is an Awabakal descendent lecturer in architecture and program convenor of the Designing with Country program at the University of Newcastle. Her work in architecture and heritage embeds reciprocity and Indigenous knowledges in built environment practice and education.

Terrence leads TCL’s Sydney studio, bringing expertise in landscape architecture and urban design. He delivers complex city-shaping projects across Australasia with a focus on inclusive design, urban cooling, biodiversity and sustainability.

Keith is an associate director at OCULUS and has over 30 years’ experience as a landscape architect and urban designer. He is known for driving strong design, community and sustainability outcomes in projects and creative, strategic, big picture thinking.

Paul is the managing director of Atelier Ten Australia and is a global leader in sustainable design. He is recognised for strategy and design on large-scale urban projects and precincts, and works across museums, workplaces, residential, healthcare, education buildings and campuses.

Amanda is a director at MHN Design Union with extensive experience leading award-winning projects across Australia, Asia and the United States. Amanda has worked across cultural, commercial, urban, multi-residential, mixed-use and adaptive re-use typologies.

Jody is Director Design, Place Making & Property at Sydney Metro and a registered Landscape Architect and Urban Designer. She works across government and collaborates with stakeholders on state-significant urban development and infrastructure projects. At the forefront of leading Place Making processes, she is an advocate for Design Excellence and Connecting & Designing with Country.
Katherine Sundermann

Katherine is a principal at MGS Architects, and an architect and urban designer who supports the public interest in urban transformation through practice, academic and advisory roles. She is also a senior lecturer at Monash University, and chairs the Australian Urban Design Awards steering committee.

Anne is director of Design & Place at Landcom with over 20 years of experience across government, and private sector development. Her expertise spans complex precincts, infrastructure, inter-agency collaboration, and urban design frameworks that support resilient environments across NSW.
