The Snowy Mountains is one of 6 special activation precincts across NSW that have been identified to become thriving business hubs.
The Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct master plan, outlines a 40-year strategy to bring together planning and investment, boosting jobs and economic activity. It was finalised on 1 July 2022.
A budget of $391.3 million from the NSW Government will deliver the precinct and enable the region to become a year-round tourism destination and the nation’s alpine capital.
We based the master plan on technical studies that assessed possible environmental effects on heritage, sustainability and infrastructure. We also took in community feedback.
